Training the TutorsNEWSFLASH - The Club starts meeting again from the 11th October 2018 at our usual venue - the small Barn.  The schedule of meeting dates has been updated with the new session dates and some of the topics we will cover.  As a new inovation for 2018/9 we are looking to introduce "Support Tables" around specific topics which you can go to after the talk.

Welcome to the Silver Surfers inspire4life website!

We began in November 2007 with funding from the National Lottery through Awards for All to take us through to October 2008.

Our initial aim was to provide beginners computer courses to the over 50s who have none or very little knowledge of how to use a computer.

Since our initial inception we have received grants from other organisation that has helped us go from strength to strength.

However, the demand for courses has fallen off in the past months as people become more familiar with computers and move to other devices to access their email and the web.  After much thought we have therefore decided to move away from offering just computer courses and move to a computer club structure.  We hope to be able to offer talks on items of interest about computing, one to one tuition sessions and technical help.

And to help you relax afterwards Tai Chi classes. Click on the links on the left to find out more.

We are currently based at The Barn in Purley on Thames.
